telecast: Church Prophesied in Our Time

Revelation 2-3
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 01-Jan-34; Tape #HA106A; 30 minutes

Description: (hide)

Herbert W. Armstrong describes the respective roles of three churches extant at the end time: (1) Sardis-characterized as spiritually dead and insignificant, (2) Philadelphia-characterized as having little strength, but nevertheless carrying God's message to the nations, promised a place of safety for their faithfulness, and (3) Laodicea- a church grown lukewarm in commandment keeping and zeal by having been immersed in worldliness, requiring a purification by martyrdom and tribulation. The Great Tribulation (a time of Satan's wrath on mankind) will be ended by The Day of the Lord, depicting a time of God's intervention to save mankind from themselves. The booklet, The Book Of Revelation Unveiled At Last was offered on this program.
